Setting up Notifications in Your Detection Mobile App


A notification is created to notify you and other members of your business of the different system actions that occur with your detection system. There are many different notification types available, the steps below provide you with the instructions to set up a Sensor Activity Notification in the mobile app.


Log in to the Security Solutions mobile app.


On the home screen, tap the Menu icon.

On the Menu screen, tap Notifications.

On the Notifications menu, tap Manage Notifications.

Under the Manage Notifications screen, tap + Add.

Complete the following steps.

  1. On the Add a New Notification screen, tap Create Your Own.
  2. In the Create Your Own drop-down menu, select Sensor Activity.

Note: Based on the notification selected on the Create Your Own or Use A Template tabs, all notifications lead to a screen to configure the notification. Each notification has a different set of configure options displayed to the user.


On the Create Your Own screen, in the Sensor Activity text field, enter a new notification name.

  1. In the When any of these sensors open or are activated: field, check the boxes for all sensors that apply.
  2. In the During this time frame: section, select to receive event notifications for either At All Times or Only During the Following Times and select the time frame.
  3. In the Notification Filtering field, check the box to enable this option Select time duration from the drop-down menu to not receive notifications that occur within the last notification.
  4. Tap + Add Recipients, to select individual users to receive the alarm notification.

On the Address Book screen, select the recipient to receive the sensor activity notification.

Result: A check icon displays next to their name.

  1. Tap Close.
  2. Tap Save.

Complete the following steps to add a new contact to receive sensor activity notifications.

  1. From the Address Book screen, tap + Add Contact.

  2. In the appropriate fields, enter the name, mobile number, and email address of the new recipient.
  3. Tap Add Contact. The contact is added and may be selected from the Address Book screen to receive notifications.

  4. Tap Close.
  5. Tap Save.
