Customizing a Blocked Page for Malware and Phishing for MalBlock DNS Security

Solution

With MalBlock DNS Security, use Service Pages Malware and Phishing customization to set up the following network content messages for users.

  • Create the message that the user views when they attempt to view a restricted website.
  • Customize the content with an Admin name and number.
  • Inform the user why the page is blocked.

Note: Blocking content by category is available with Premium service only. To learn more about the Premium service options, see Cox Business Essential Security.
 

To customize the Malware and Phishing message for your network, complete the following steps.

Log in to MalBlock DNS Security, see Logging in to MalBlock DNS Security.

From the MalBlock Dashboard, click the Service Pages tab, and select Malware & Phishing.

In the Blocking Reason field, click to check the box next to Show a blocking reason message and enter the blocking reason message.

Note: The Blocking reason field has a maximum character limit of 1,024 characters.

In the Admin Contacts section, complete the following fields to provide contact information.

  1. In the Admin's Email field, enter the administrator's contact email address.
  2. In the Admin's Phone Number field, enter the administrator's contact phone number.

From the top of the Malware & Phishing section, complete the following steps.

  1. Click Block Page Preview to view the blocked message.
  2. Click Save changes.
