Creating a Time Schedule Online

Solution

Use the following steps to create a regular or holiday time schedule online.

Go to myaccount-business.cox.com, enter your User ID and Password, and then click Sign In.
 

Note: If you have not created an online profile with a User ID and Password, refer to Setting Up Your Online Profile.

From the Administrative Tools and Service Management section, click the Voice icon.

Note: If the icon does not display, then click the arrow to view other available options.

Do you have more than one account?

  • If no, then continue to the next step.
  • If yes, then from the Select an account drop-down menu, select the account to modify.

Are you a Profile Administrator or a Profile Owner changing a user's number?
  • If yes, then continue to the next step.
  • If no, then proceed to step 6 for changing your settings.

Click the arrow to expand the User & System Management section and complete the following.

  1. Click User Feature Settings.

  2. Locate the number you are modifying and click Edit.

From the Business Voice page, click the Manage Schedule link.

Are you creating a new schedule or adding a new event to an existing schedule?

From the Add Schedule/Event page, enter the following information.

  • In the Schedule Name field, enter a name for the schedule.
  • In the Type field, select the appropriate radio button based on your version of Auto Attendant.
    • Basic Auto Attendant
      • Select Regular to create a schedule for business hours.
      • Select Holiday to create a schedule for after business hours.
    • Standard Auto Attendant
      • Select Regular to create a schedule for during and after business hours.
      • Select Holiday to create a holiday schedule.
  • In the Access field, select the Group or Personal schedule radio button.
  • In the Event Name field, enter a name for the event.
  • In the Start Date field, enter or select the start date. If this is an all-day event, click the All Day checkbox.
  • In the End Date field, enter or select the end date.

    Note: If you are creating a continuous-time schedule with no end date or a holiday schedule for one day, enter or select the same date in the Start Date and End Date fields.

From the Recurs drop-down menu, select the frequency the schedule should repeat and complete the appropriate steps below.
 

If the frequency selected is...Then...
NeverClick the Save button.
Daily

Complete the following steps.

  1. In the Every field, enter the number of days the schedule should recur.
  2. Click the End drop-down menu.
    • If Never is selected, then click the Save button and proceed to step 8.
    • If Date is selected, then enter the date the recurring schedule should end in mm/dd/yyyy format.
    • If After is selected, then enter the number of occurrences allowed before the schedule should end.
  3. Click the Save button.
Weekly

Complete the following steps.

  1. In the Every field, enter the number of weeks the schedule should recur.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select the days of the week the schedule should recur.
  3. Click the End drop-down menu and select when the schedule should end.
    • If Never is selected, then click the Save button and proceed to step 8.
    • If Date is selected, then enter the date the recurring schedule should end in mm/dd/yyyy format.
    • If After is selected, then enter the number of occurrences allowed before the schedule should end.
  4. Click the Save button.
Monthly

Complete the following steps.

  1. In the Every field, enter the number of months the schedule should recur.
  2. Select the Day or The radio button.
    • If Day is selected, then enter the day of the month the schedule should recur.
    • If The is selected, then choose the appropriate options from the two drop-down menus.
      • From the first drop-down menu, select the week of the month the schedule should recur, such as First or Third.
      • From the second drop-down menu, select the day of the week the schedule should recur, such as Sun or Fri.
  3. Click the End drop-down menu and select when the schedule should end.
    • If Never is selected, then click the Save button and proceed to step 8.
    • If Date is selected, then enter the date the recurring schedule should end in mm/dd/yyyy format.
    • If After is selected, then enter the number of occurrences allowed before the schedule should end.
  4. Click the Save button.
Yearly

Complete the following steps.

  1. In the Every field, enter the number of years the schedule should recur.
  2. Select the Day or The radio button.
    • If Day is selected, then enter the day of the month the schedule should recur, and then select the appropriate month from the drop-down menu.
    • If The is selected, then choose the appropriate options from the three drop-down menus.
      • From the first drop-down menu, select which week of the month the schedule should recur, such as First or Third.
      • From the second drop-down menu, select the day of the week the schedule should recur, such as Sun or Fri.
      • From the third drop-down menu, select the month the schedule should recur.
  3. Click the End drop-down and select when the schedule should end.
    • If Never is selected, then click the Save button and proceed to step 8.
    • If Date is selected, then enter the date the recurring schedule should end in mm/dd/yyyy format.
    • If After is selected, then enter the number of occurrences allowed before the schedule should end.
  4. Click the Save button.

Are you creating additional schedules?

  • If no, then click Save to finalize the time schedule.
  • If yes, then complete the following steps.
    1. Click Save & Add Another.
    2. Repeat steps 8 and 9.

      Note: Schedules can have multiple associated events. For example, a holiday schedule may have specific events for Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.
