Setting Up Your MyAccount Profile on Cox Business.com

Solution

With your Cox Business service, you have access to MyAccount which allows you to manage your account, including view and pay your bill, configure phone features, reboot your equipment, and receive help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Follow the steps below to create your MyAccount profile.

From the Cox Business Login window, click Register.

From the MyAccount Setup window, begin to create a new profile or add a new account to an existing profile.

  • If you are new to Cox Business, then click I AM NEW TO COX BUSINESS and continue to the next step to create your profile.

  • If you are a current Cox Business customer, then click I AM A COX BUSINESS CUSTOMER and follow the steps provided in Add an Account to Your MyAccount Profile to add this account to your existing profile. All steps complete.

From the Create Profile window, complete the following steps.

  1. Enter the required Profile Owner information in the following fields.
    • Username
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Alternate Email Address
    • Primary Office Number
    • Mobile Phone Number
    • Alternate Phone Number
    • Create Password, see Cox Password Requirements for more details
    • Confirm Password
  2. Click Continue to Account Information.

From the Account Information window, complete the following steps.

  1. Enter the information for the following fields.
    • Account Number - the 16-digit account number that can be found on your billing statement

      Note: For more information regarding locating your account number, refer to Viewing Your Bill in MyAccount.

    • Alias - a name you create to help identify the account

      Example: If you have a north and south location of the same store, the aliases could be North Location and South Location.

    • 4-digit PIN - the four-digit code that can be found on your billing statement

      Note: For more information regarding locating your PIN number, refer to Locating Your Cox PIN.

    Note: If you need assistance with the Account Number or PIN, an Authorized User can contact Cox Business Customer Care.

  2. On the bottom right of the page, click Save and Continue.

To enter the names, personal contact information, and access permissions for those people that need to have access to your account, complete the following steps.
 

From the Add Users window, do you want to add additional users to your profile?
 

If... Then...

  1. Complete the following fields.
    • Username
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Alternate Email Address
    • Primary Office Number
    • Mobile Phone Number
  2. Select the radio button to choose either End User or Administrator.
  3. Place a check in the box by the following fields as applicable.
    • Billing Access
    • Voice
    • Call Detail Records
    • Voice Traffic Reports
    • Internet & Data Services
    • Service Order Access
  4. Click Save and Continue.
  5. From the View All Users window, you can Add a New User or Edit an existing user.
  6. Click Continue.

Click Skip to Authorized Users.

On the Account Authorization Settings window, a list displays authorized users for the account who have permission to speak to an agent about the account services and billing. Complete the following steps.

  • If you want to add authorized users, then enter the relevant information for the users and click Save and Continue.
  • If you do not want to add authorized users, then click Skip to Account Contacts.

From the Account Contacts window, designate a Billing and Technical support contact, then click Save and Continue.

To manage your Voice services in MyAccount, complete the following steps.

  • If you subscribe to Voice services, then complete the following steps.
    1. Assign Phone Numbers - assign phone numbers to the users on their profile
    2. Voice Mail Settings - set up Voice Notification Preferences, Mailbox PIN Code, and Voice Mail Preferences for each of the users on their profile
    3. Click Continue.
  • If you do not subscribe to Voice services, then continue to the next step.

From the Set Up Billing window, review the table below to select how you would like to receive and pay your bills.
 

If you want... Then...
To add EasyPay and enter a payment method
  1. Click Add Payment Method.
  2. From the pop-up window, click a radio button for one of the following options, then complete the fields under the section for Enter Account Details.
    • Checking or Savings Account
    • Credit / Debit Card
  3. Click Add Payment Method.
  4. From the Review & Authorize EasyPay Request window, place a check in the box that indicates agreement to the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Click Save and Continue.
To skip enrolling in EasyPay Click Skip to Paperless.

From the Paperless Billing window, enroll to receive your monthly bills via email notification by completing the following steps.

  1. Enter your Email Address.
  2. Click Save and Complete.

If you subscribe to Cox Business Internet service with a Static IP, the View IP Addresses page displays. The IP addresses are provided for use when configuring your devices and network. Click Email Now to forward the IP information to your email address.

On the Profile Registration window, verify all information is correct, and then click Add New Account.
 

Results:

  • The Congratulations page displays when the account is successfully activated.
  • An email is generated to the email address that is on file for your account.

After the email is received, complete the following steps to complete the registration.

  1. Open the registration email that you received.
  2. Click the URL listed in the email to confirm registration and complete the activation process.

    Important: The account will not be confirmed if you do not click through the email.
