Changing the Duress Code in the Detection Mobile App

Solution

Use the duress keypad code if an intruder forces you to arm / disarm your system or access your security settings. In this situation, you would enter the duress code rather than your regular keypad code. The Business Owner should share the duress code with all trusted employees and make sure they know how it works.

Entering your duress code gives you full access to your detection system but a silent alarm is immediately sent to the Central Monitoring Station (CMS) and the police are dispatched immediately.

Follow the steps below to change your duress code in the detection mobile app.

Sign in to the detection mobile app.

From the Overview screen, tap More.

From the More screen, tap Keypad Codes.

From the Keypad Codes screen, tap Duress.

From the Account Verification screen, enter your Master Keypad Code.

  1. Enter the desired 4-Digit Code.
  2. Tap SAVE.

Note: The duress code cannot be deleted, only edited.
