Uploading E911 Addresses in MyAccount

Solution

Use the following steps to upload a list of up to 1,000 E911 addresses for your account telephone numbers, either billing telephone numbers or direct inward dial numbers.

Notes:

  • The address download functionality will be available at a later date. After the download function is available, you can download all current dispatchable location information and recent historical information.
  • You must wait 24-48 hours after a new install before uploading updated dispatchable location details.

From the Address Upload page, click on the Download a template link.

Using the template file you downloaded, complete the appropriate updates to the dispatchable location for all telephone numbers as needed, then save the template as a CSV file.

Note: To ensure a successful upload, complete all fields and ensure that telephone numbers do not appear with the exact same endpoint more than once. A maximum of 1,000 telephone number records is allowed.

From the Address Upload page, click Choose File. Locate and select the CSV template file you updated and saved, then click Upload.

As the file uploads and telephone number updates are processed, review the Results Summary to validate all transactions.

  • If the file upload fails due to issues with the data on the file, then review the Errors column to identify the issues. In the CSV template file you updated, resolve the issues, save the changes, and upload the entire file again.
  • If the file upload completes without errors and the status column displays Success for each telephone number, then the street location data is updated in the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), also known as the 911 operator, immediately.
