Effective December 31st, 2022, Cox Business will no longer offer new Cox Business Security Solutions (Detection and Surveillance) to any new and/or existing customers. We will continue to service you for both existing Surveillance and Detection product lines, which may include servicing or adding additional Detection or Surveillance products to that existing location. Furthermore, there will be no disruption in your services.


We are so thankful for your business and trust in our platform. This is a very difficult decision, and strategic choice for the company. As the market evolves, we will continue to invest our resources to provide the best business-class services for our customers.

What happens next?

Existing customers may still add new locations or move their service for orders submitted before December 31st, 2022, as long as they are installed before February 28th, 2023.  

Frequently Asked Questions

No, there will not be any impact to existing Detection or Surveillance services for customers. We will continue to support existing customers to ensure their existing locations remain protected. However, as of December 31, 2022, we will not sell Cox Business Security Solutions to any new customers. Also, existing customers will not be able to add any new locations.

Yes, our technicians and tech support teams will remain available 24/7 to support customers should any service issues arise. Customers can visit www.coxbusiness.com/securitysupport or call 1-844-601-5890 for more information.

No, existing customers will not be able to add either Detection and/or video Surveillance product lines for new locations after December 31st, 2022. However, existing customers will still be able to add the following equipment add-ons: alarm sensors and/or cameras to any of their existing locations. Customers can call 1-844-203-0023 to add new equipment to an existing location between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM CST Monday through Friday.

 

  • Detection only: Existing customers cannot order Surveillance for any new location after December 30th, 2022. They can add alarm sensors at an existing location after December 31st, 2022.
  • Surveillance only: Existing customers cannot order Detection for any new location after December 30th, 2022. They can add cameras at an existing location after December 31st, 2022.
  • Detection and Surveillance: Existing customers cannot order Detection and Surveillance for any new location after December 30th, 2022. They can add equipment (cameras and/or alarm sensors) to an existing location after December 31st, 2022.

No, however, we have partnered with *Digital Watchdog and **Alarm.com, our software providers for Cox Business Security Solutions, should customers wish to add locations or transfer service. For more information, please see the instructions below.
