Create or Edit an Arming Event Notification Using Your Mobile App

Solution

An arming event notification notifies recipients when, and who is arming and disarming the system. Follow the steps below to create an arming event notification.

Log in to the Security Solutions mobile app.

On the home screen, tap the Menu icon.

On the Menu screen, tap Notifications.

On the Notifications menu, tap Manage Notifications.

Under the Manage Notifications screen, tap + Add.

Complete the following steps.

  1. On the Add a New Notification screen, tap Create Your Own.
  2. In the Create Your Own drop-down menu, select Arming Event.

Under the Arming Event section, enter the name for the new notification event and complete the following steps.

  1. In the When drop-down menu, select one of the following options to monitor user's events.
    • Select Any User or Keyfob, to monitor all user's events.
    • Select Users and Keyfobs, to monitor specific user's events.

  2. Under Performs any of these system actions, select from the following options.
    • Select Disarm, to notify when the alarm system is disarmed.
    • Select Arm Stay, to notify when the alarm is set to the stay status.
    • Select Arm Away, to notify when the alarm is set to the away status.

  3. Under During this time frame, select to receive event notifications At All Times or Only During the Following Times. Selecting Only during the Following Times enables you to choose the notification event time frame.

  4. Click Notification Filtering to limit notification alerts.

  5. Tap + Add Recipients to select recipients for alarm event notifications.

Under Address Book, select the recipient to receive the alarm notification.

Result: A check icon displays next to their name.

  1. Tap Close.
  2. Tap Save.

Complete the following steps to add a new contact to receive alarm notifications.

  1. From the Address Book screen, tap + Add Contact.

  2. In the appropriate fields, enter the name, mobile number, and email address of the recipient.
  3. Tap Add Contact. The contact is added and can be selected from the Address Book screen to receive notifications.

  4. Tap Close.
  5. Tap Save.
