Changing the Secret Word in the Detection Subscriber Portal

Your Central Station Passcode / Secret Word is used to cancel a dispatch by the Central Monitoring Station (CMS) in the event of a false alarm. The CMS operator cannot view your secret word, their access is limited to entering the word that you provide to them to cancel the alarm.

Choose your passcode / secret word using the recommendations below.

• Eight letters or fewer
• Easy to remember, pronounce, and spell

Follow these steps to change the secret word in your detection subscriber portal.

Sign in to the detection subscriber portal.

Select the Security drop-down and click Emergency Dispatch Setup.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Secret Word section and click UNLOCK TO VIEW/EDIT.

On the Account Verification window, enter your Master Code.

Enter your new Secret Word and click Save.
