Low Cost Internet FAQs
To use your Cox Starter Internet package as wifi, you will need to add our Panoramic Wifi gateway or provide your own wifi router. Learn more about Panoramic Wifi and how it can help you get wall-to-wall, whole home wifi coverage. In certain cases, Panoramic Wifi Pods, sold separately, may be required for extended coverage.
The fine print
According to the FCC, May is expected to be the last month of the ACP subsidy, with a partial subsidy amount of $14 (instead of $30). Those on Tribal lands will receive $35 (instead of $75). Congress needs to allocate additional funding for this program, which currently has over 23 million households participating. Cox is actively advocating to Congress for continued support.
Cox remains committed to providing customers with affordable internet and connectivity options even if ACP ends. We will continue to offer a wide range of Internet speeds and prices, including our low-cost affordability tiers Connect2Compete and ConnectAssist. We also have great offers on Cox Mobile that when combined with Cox Internet can lead to significant savings on customers' overall telecommunications services.
If you are currently enrolled in ACP through Cox, we will notify you of any program changes and will work with you to find the right solutions for your household. For more details, see cox.com/acp
