Device Trade-In FAQs

Your questions answered

You can trade-in your current phone and apply the value towards the purchase of your new phone. You may trade-in your device at a store or when making a purchase online. You can also speak with a Cox Mobile rep over the phone by dialing 1-800-234-3993.
 

When making a trade-in, devices will undergo an inspection after which you’ll receive a final value offer. Once you accept the offer, you’ll receive an email to set up an electronic deposit with your bank.

Smartphones and basic phones may be eligible for trade-in. You must be the rightful owner of any device traded in. If you purchased the device using a payment plan, the device is not eligible for trade-in until the balance has been paid in full.

You are allowed to trade in one device per new device purchased.

Trade-in is only available at time of new device purchase.

All trades are final and your device cannot be returned.

If you’re trading in-store, simply leave your device at the store with the Cox Mobile Rep.
 

Online or over the phone, you’ll be provided shipping option to send your device in for inspection. After inspection, you’ll receive a final value offer which you’ll need to accept to complete the transaction.

If shopping in-store, eligible credit will be applied as instant store credit during your new device purchase. Any credit amount exceeding your new device cost will be applied to your accounts monthly bill per the timeline specified during your sales transaction.

 

If shopping online or by phone, the device will need to be shipped and inspected. You’ll receive a final offer which you’ll need to approve. After that, you’ll receive an email from JP Morgan to set up electronic payment to your bank account within 5-8 business days.
