Does my Cox Mobile cell phone plan include unlimited calling and texting?
Yes, both our plans include unlimited SMS/MMS and calling.
Text includes: (i) US and Int’l destinations (ii) Text, Picture, and Video Messages with Cox Mobile and non-Cox Mobile customers in the United States; (iii) Text, Picture, and Video messages sent via email; (iv) Instant Messages; and (v) Text, Picture, and Video Messages sent to, or received from, other countries while you are in the United States. Compatible device required. Premium Messaging programs not included.
Calls include all domestic US destinations, Puerto Rico, and US territories. International long-distance plans available for additional monthly charge.

Can I switch my mobile data plan if I need to?
Yes, you can change your plan per line anytime during the bill cycle. If you switch plans mid cycle, any data previously used will count toward the throttle limit and your bill cycle dates will remain the same. All data used during the cycle will be charged based on the new plan, the data usage tracker will not be reset when the plan is switched (data used will be cumulative). You will be charged taxes and fees based on whichever plan is in effect at the time of billing.
Are there any taxes or fees on top of my monthly cell plan?
Yes, taxes and fees apply to your monthly data plan, and are subject to change.
What type of data plans does Cox Mobile offer?
We offer two data plan options – Pay As You Gig or Gig Unlimited.

How do I keep track of the amount of cell data used each month?
You can always review data usage in the Cox App or My Account. You also have the option to receive text and/or email notifications of the amount of data you are using each month. Manage your notification preferences in your My Account.
What happens if I choose the Pay As You Gig service but go over my monthly gig amount?
With our Pay As You Gig Plan, you do not have a monthly gig amount. Instead, you are charged for each gig you use at $15/gig.

Can I get 5G on my mobile data plan?
5G is included on all our plans, where available, and requires a 5G capable device.
Can I get Cox Mobile if I don’t have other Cox services?
You must have Cox Internet, enroll in EasyPay and enroll in paperless billing to be eligible for Cox Mobile.
How much will I pay per month for my Cox Mobile phone plan?
Our Pay As You Gig plan costs $15 per gig each month per line. Our Gig Unlimited plan starts at $45 a month for one line. You can add additional lines on the Gig Unlimited plan to lower your monthly cost per line and get the best value.

What’s the easiest way to place an order for a phone or Cox Mobile cell plan?
Placing an order online is the easiest way to get started with Cox Mobile. If you prefer an in-store experience, you can always use our store locator to find a Cox Store location near you.
Can I bring my own phone number when purchasing a new wireless phone plan through Cox Mobile?
Yes. We accept phone numbers from all U.S. carriers, so it's easy to transfer your number when you sign up.
Can I bring my own device to Cox Mobile?
Yes, you can keep your current device when switching to Cox Mobile. First, let’s just make sure it works with our plans. Check compatibility
What cell phone brands are available through Cox Mobile?
Cox Mobile currently offers cell phones from Apple, Samsung, and TCL.
What is WiFi calling?
WiFi calling allows you to make calls using your phone number when cellular coverage is very poor or not available while connected to a WiFi network.
How do I set up WiFi calling on my device?
To set up WiFi calling on your device, you will need to first set up an e911 address in case your location doesn't show up automatically to a 911 dispatcher. To do this, you can enter you location any time by going to WiFi calling in the call settings menu. Once enabled, you will be able to see when WiFi calling is enabled.
Does my device support WiFi calling?
At this time, Wifi calling is supported on select Samsung Galaxy devices and Apple iPhones using iOS 17. We will continue to enable WiFi calling on other devices throughout 2023 and into 2024. Check the device support page to see if your device supports WiFi calling.
Will I be billed for using WiFi calling?
If you are using WiFi calling to call a U.S. number, you may do so from anywhere in the world, at no charge. However, if you want to use WiFi calling to an international number, you will need to add an international plan. To learn more, please visit international calling plans.
If I enable WiFi calling, will my calls switch between WiFi and cellular service?
No, devices are configured to use cellular when available and only use WiFi calling when cellular coverage is very poor or is not available.
Does Cox Mobile offer discounts when adding multiple lines?
Yes, when you select 2 or more lines with our Gig Unlimited plans, you will automatically save money on both lines. The more lines you add with our Gig Unlimited plan, the more you save up to a maximum of 5 lines. All Gig Unlimited plans include unlimited talk, text & data.
New Cox Internet customers who also add Cox Mobile may be limited to 2 lines initially and may be able to add additional lines after maintaining their service for 120 days.
What if I have 2 lines, but one is Pay As You Gig, and one is Gig Unlimited?
You may mix and match all lines on your account, but you must have 2 or more Gig Unlimited lines to save.
What happens if I switch mid-month from Pay As You Gig to Gig Unlimited and now have two or more Gig Unlimited plans on one account?
If you have multiple Gig Unlimited plans, then you will immediately receive the multi-line discounted rate which will be reflected on your next monthly statement.
What happens to my bill if I cancel an unlimited line on my account or switch from Gig Unlimited to Pay As You Gig?
If you remove a Gig Unlimited line or switch to a PAYG line for the month, then your mobile account will immediately calculate the new price based on the number of Gig Unlimited plans on the account. You will see this change on your next monthly statement.
What if I add an unlimited line when I pre-order a new phone?
Once you complete the pre-order process and add the additional unlimited line, your mobile account will automatically show the updated discounted price per line.
