   2006 Awards

THE ADDY AWARDS
The advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the very best advertising in both local competitions and worldwide. Over 50,000 entries received each year.
Cox Communications, Santa Barbara was awarded

Silver Award for Casa Esperanza  "House of Hope", a video showcasing the local non-profit organization dedicated to helping the homeless community.

Bronze Award for Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance  "Fire Ball"
, a 30 second Public Service Announcement for a local non-profit group, informing the community about a fundraising event for local city and county firefighters.  This PSA helped to raise over $150,000 for public safety equipment.
 

THE AURORA AWARDS
An International Competition designed to recognize excellence in the film and video industries. Competitors come from private & corporate production groups, advertising agencies and television stations throughout the country.

Gold Award received for Channel League High School Football  "Santa Barbara vs San Marcos"
.  A video piece capturing "The Big Game" rivalry between local high schools.

 

THE PEGASUS AWARDS
The Video Industry's Premier Competition for recognition of exemplary work produced by non-broadcast video professionals.  Judging is unique in that nominations are graded based on a set of high industry standards, rather than competition.

The 2006 Award Of Excellence
was presented to Cox Communications, Santa Barbara for outstanding production quality on the videos:
"DID YOU KNOW" and "ISOLATED AND ASHAMED"  Pacific Pride Foundation
"PONY BASEBALL with TIM MATHESON"  Pony Baseball League
"HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - SANTA BARBARA VS SAN MARCOS"

The 2006 Award of Honor was presented for these exceptional videos:
"HOUSE OF HOPE"
- Casa Esperanza
"COMMUNITY CONNECTION - SANTA BARBARA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL"

The 2006 Award of Distinction
was presented for these quality videos:
"FIRE BALL 2005" -
Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance
"SPIRIT OF FIESTA - DANCE AUDITIONS 2005"

 

THE TELLY AWARDS
Honors outstanding local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly is the largest and most prestigious award of it's kind, receiving entries from over 30 countries in the world (over 12,000 entries).

Bronze Awards received for:

Casa Esperanza  "House of Hope", a video showcasing the local non-profit organization dedicated to helping the homeless community.

Channel League High School Football  "Santa Barbara vs San Marcos", a video piece capturing "The Big Game" rivalry between local high schools.

Cox 8 Community Connection  "Santa Barbara International Film Festival", a 30 minute daily show hosted by David Edelman, Director of Public Affairs, Cox Communications, which highlights local non-profit organizations.

 

THE VIDEOGRAPHER AWARDS
An international awards competition honoring excellence in commercials, video production, broadcast television and cable.

Award of Excellence for 2006 was given to Cox Communications for exceptional work done in these videos:

The Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance
recently honored
Cox Communications by awarding the LIFESAVER HERO AWARD at the May 7th FIRE BALL 2005 Party and Fundraising Event.  This prestigious award recognizes the above and beyond support Cox provided SBFA in support of reaching their mission to provide unbudgeted lifesaving equipment to benefit the City and County Firefighters and the public they serve. http://www.sbfirefightersalliance.org

An International Awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field.  Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
