Just hold the blue microphone button and say a command like:

“Watch ABC”
“What should I watch?”
“Which football games are on?”
“Turn on Closed Captioning”

  1. TV Power: Turn your TV on and off
  2. Rewind: Rewind a program. In the Guide, go back 24 hours.
  3. Fast-Forward: Fast-forward a program. In the Guide, skip ahead 24 hours.
  4. Exit/Stop: Jump to the last channel you were watching or exit the recording you're watching through On DemandSM or DVR.
  5. Page Up: Scroll one page up in lists and jump forward when watching TV.
  6. Guide: Press once to see all listings. Press twice to choose Guide View and filter listings.
  7. Rec: Record what you're watching.
  8. Page Down: Scroll down on page in lists and jump back when watching TV.
  9. A Button: Help when you need it.
  10. Main Menu: This takes you to the Main Menu, where you'll find your Guide, Saved (DVR recordings), On Demand Search, Apps and Settings screens.
  11. B Button: Display the Accessibility menu to change settings for features like Closed Captioning, enhanced text readability and Voice Guidance.
  12. OK: Select a highlighted option.
  13. C Button: Launch the Sports app
  14. D Button: Delete a recording, cancel a scheduled recording or clear the history from Last Watched.
  15. Last: Take a step back in the menu, exit to live TV or see what you watched last.
  16. Setup: Pair your remote with your receiver, TV or audio device.

Have your TV read your screen out loud on the Guide, Main Menu, Mini Guide, Saved Menu and Settings Menu with Voice Guidance:

 

  1. Tap the A button twice to bring up the Voice Guidance screen

  2. To turn it on, press "Turn On Voice Guidance"

  3. To turn it off, press "Turn Voice Guidance Off"

Simple setup

You can pair your remote with your set-top box, TV and audio equipment.

Set-top box: Press & hold Contour and Info buttons at the same time until your remote light turns green (For older models, press and hold Setup). Then press the Menu button and type in the three-digit code on screen. Press OK to seal the deal.

TV: Hold the Setup button until your remote light turns green. Then type in your TV’s manufacturer code and press OK. The remote light should blink green twice.

Audio equipment: Hold the Setup button until your remote light turns green. Then enter the equipment’s manufacturer code and press OK. The remote light should blink green twice. 

Tips and shortcuts

Pull up the Guide with the Guide button and press Fast-Forward to see what’s playing in 24 hours.

While the Guide is up, press the B button to show a video window of what you’re watching.

Press the Guide button twice to pull up Guide Views and filter by Favorites, Movies and more.

Press the D button to quickly delete a recording or cancel a scheduled recording
