  1. Download the Contour app from the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store or the Amazon App Store. (If you're using Android, please clear the browser cache in device settings before moving onto the next step)
  2. Open the app and tap “Get Started”.
  3. Log into Contour using your Cox account credentials or tap “University Sign In” if you are a student and receive service through your university. If applicable, select your university.
  4. Enter a name for your device and tap “Continue”.
  5. Swipe right or tap the top-left icon to open the main menu to navigate the app.


Depending on your subscription, you can view more than 130 channels out of home. In the side menu, under Live TV, select TV Go Channels to see the channels that are available to watch anywhere in the US, both in and out of your home. Channels not listed are not currently available to watch out-of-home through the Contour app but may be available through that network’s own app using your Cox credentials (e.g., MAX, ESPN, Fox Sports Go, etc.).

Currently, you can only download recorded content from Starz and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and any purchased content from your home set-top box.

From anywhere in the app, click the magnifying glass to initiate a search. You may search for a specific program or network.

When looking at the guide (under Live TV, All Channels), you may click the Find button to search for a specific channel number or network.

Only specific TV channels (TV Go channels) are currently available for out-of-home. If you are not connected to your home Wi-Fi, you will only be able to watch TV Go channels. If you are connected to your home Wi-Fi, you should be able to access all the TV channels that you subscribe to.

If you are at home: Please make sure that you are connected to your home Wi-Fi network. If you still receive the message, try rebooting your Wi-Fi router and uninstalling/reinstalling the Contour app. Please contact Cox Support for additional help if you are still experiencing issues.

Contour customers with the Voice Remote can schedule, modify and delete DVR recordings through the Contour app. To schedule a DVR recording, go to the Menu option in the top left corner of the app, select Live TV, select the desired show or movie in the live guide, and then select Record.

 

To manage DVR recordings, go to the Menu option, select the recorded content, select Recordings, and select Record Options.

Yes, you can cast from the Contour App to Chromecast or Apple AirPlay enabled TVs. First, please make sure you have downloaded the latest Contour App from the app store. Make sure your mobile device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your TV. You will notice a cast icon on the top-right corner.

The Contour App is currently available on Apple TV streaming devices.   Additional streaming devices and smart TVs may be added in the future.

To watch TV from your desktop, go to watchtv.cox.com.

Yes, you can continue to stream or download purchased movies and shows after you disconnect Cox services. Log into the Contour app or at watchtv.cox.com with your Cox user ID and password. Navigate to Purchased under the Saved menu.
