Using Camera Motion Detection on the Homelife Touchscreen

Solution

Follow the steps below to utilize camera motion capabilities on the touchscreen.

Note: In the camera view on the touchscreen, if there is motion, a banner showing motion detected displays.

Adjusting Motion Detection Settings

The camera’s motion detection sensitivity can be enabled, disabled, or adjusted from low, medium, or high sensitivity. The following steps can assist you in enabling, disabling and adjusting the sensitivity of the camera video that displays on your Cox Homelife Touchscreen, and mobile device or tablet.

On the touchscreen Home page, tap Settings.

Enter the Master Code to proceed to the Settings menu.

Tap Home Devices.

From the Home Devices menu, tap Cameras.

From the Cameras menu, tap Edit a Camera.

From the Edit a Camera screen, tap the camera you wish to edit.

On the Edit New Camera screen, tap the Motion Sensitivity field and tap Next to continue.

Select the desired setting.

Note: The recommended setting for sensitivity settings is Medium.

Result: The camera is now configured with the selected settings.
