Call Waiting allows you to suspend a telephone call already in progress to accept a second call.
Important: Cox Voice customers must contact Cox to disable the Call Waiting feature.
If you are experiencing problems using this feature, it is generally due to other features that also offer interrupt tones.
Due to the basic design of each feature, the number of tones will increase if you subscribe to multiple features offering interruption tones.
Example: If you have Call Waiting and Long Distance Alert, you will hear more interruption tones than if you only have Call Waiting. In this situation, if you want to reduce the number of interrupt tones received, you it is suggested that you turn off Long Distance alert(*49) before placing your call.
