Upgrading Your DVR Service Using the My Account App on the Contour Box



Access the My Account app through one of the following options,

  • If using the voice command, then press the Mic button and say "My Account". For more information, refer to Using Voice Command on the Contour Remote.
  • If using the navigation options, then complete the following steps.
    1. Press the Contour button.
    2. From the Menu, use the arrow buttons to highlight Apps, then press OK.
    3. Highlight My Account.
    4. Press OK.

Complete the following steps to activate the My Account app on your account.

  1. Using a mobile device or a computer, access the authorization website through one of the following options.
  2. Enter your Cox User ID and Password do sign in.

Result: The Device activated page displays and the My Account app screen displays on your TV.


Using the arrow buttons on your Cox remote, select the Add DVR option and press OK.

If you are already using the highest tier of DVR service, or if your account is not eligible to receive a DVR upgrade, the Add DVR option will not be available.


Complete the following steps.

  1. Review the list of available DVR upgrades and the cost associated with each option.
  2. Select the option you want to upgrade to.
  3. Press OK.

Review the DVR PLAN TERMS & CONDITIONS and select Accept & Continue.

If you have set up a Purchase PIN or a Parental Control PIN, you will be required to enter your PIN.
