Choose the manufacturer below to learn the process of how to set up enhanced 911 (e911) emergency contact information on your Cox mobile device.

Apple

Perform the following steps to set up e911 emergency contact information on your Apple mobile device.

Locate and tap Settings.

Tap Cellular.

Tap Wi-Fi Calling.

Is the toggle on the right on or off for Wi-Fi Calling on the iPhone?
 

If the toggle is…Then…
Off (gray)Perform the following steps to turn it on.
  • Tap the toggle to turn it on.
  • A pop-up window displays to Enable Wi-Fi Calling. Tap Enable.
On (green)Tap Update Emergency Address.

Enter or confirm all required fields with your address information, then tap Save.

Tap Close when the confirmation screen displays.

Samsung

Perform the following steps to set up e911 emergency contact information on your Samsung mobile device.

Locate and access Settings.

Tap Connections.

Tap Wi-Fi Calling.

Read the Terms and Conditions, then tap the radio button next to Terms And Conditions.

Fill out or update all of the required fields with your emergency address information, then tap Save.
 

Note: A pop-up may display to confirm the address information entered. If this occurs, select Edit to change your information or Save to keep the information you have entered.
