Complete the steps below to unenroll from Two-Step Verification (TSV) or remove a verification method online using My Account.
Important: TSV enrollment is required for previously compromised accounts and Cox Mobile customers.
From the Cox.com homepage, click the person icon.
Enter your User ID and Password.
Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.
From the My Account page, click the arrow on the Account section.
From the My Profile page, under Password, Security & Privacy, click Two-step verification.
From the Two-step verification window, select the verification method to disable and then click Deactivate.
From the Deactivate pop-up window, click Submit to confirm unenrollment.

Not required on the account | The Two-step verification window displays. To re-enroll in the selected verification method or a different verification method, click the Activate button. |
Required on the account and no other verification methods are currently selected | An error message displays. You must enroll in at least one other verification method before unenrolling from the current method. See Enrolling in Two-Step Verification Online for more information. |
Required on the account, and other verification methods are currently selected | The Two-step verification window displays. To re-enroll in the selected verification method or a different verification method, click the Activate button. |
