Understanding Your Cox Mobile Data Usage

Details

The data usage meter is available in My Account and the Cox app. Updates to the Data Plans for Cox Mobile may take up to six hours to display in the Cox App and Cox.com.

  • Data plans are based on a monthly usage cycle and align closely to the start and end dates of the billing cycle, the usage cycle ends two days prior to the bill cycle date to ensure the previous data usage applies to the billing statement. Usage cycle dates specific to your account are displayed on the Data Usage Meter.
  • Accessing the internet via Cox WiFi in your home, Cox hotspots, or a public or commercial Wi-Fi hotspot does not count toward the Cox Mobile data plan.
  • When at home, use your home Internet WiFi connection and avoid using your cellular data.
  • When away from home, connect to Cox Hotspots. See Cox Hotspots with Enhanced Wifi for more information.
