Troubleshooting Tips for Easy Connect of Smart LED Light Bulb for Homelife Automation

Once you have completed all of the Easy Connect steps and still may be having some difficulties with the device communicating with your Automation hub, use the tips below to assist you further.

Pairing

If the system is having difficulty communicating with one of your connected Smart LED Light Bulbs, follow the steps below to reestablish communications.

If you have any electronics on your home network that communicate with RF (Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones, or Bluetooth devices), make sure they are not being used near the smart light bulb.

Place the light bulb in another location and see if the problem resolves itself. If so, move the light bulb back to the original location.

Power down any potential RF interference electronics to see if the problem resolves itself. If so, consider relocating those RF interference electronic devices.

If the problem persists, the RF signal may be weak in that part of your home. Please contact Homelife Customer Support at 1-877-404-2568.

Troubleshooting

Follow these steps if the smart LED light bulb was communicating with the Homelife hub and now it is not.

Ensure the power cord to the light fixture is connected.

Ensure the power switch to the light fixture is in the ON position.

Power cycle the light bulb using the wall switch. The light bulb should rejoin the network automatically.

Delete the light bulb from the Hub, then follow the installation instructions to add the light bulb again.

Factory Default Reset

• Turn the light switch or power strip that the bulb is connected to on and off quickly ten times without interruption.
• The bulb blinks five times indicating it is in pairing mode.
• Follow the installation instructions to pair the light bulb to your Hub.
