Check Remote Battery

Remote Completely Non-Responsive
If the remote does not work at all after checking for batteries, perform a Factory Reset as follows or continue to the other options below.
Not controlling TV or audio device
TVs and audio devices are controlled with IR only and always require line-of-sight. First ensure there is direct line-of-sight between the remote and the device.
TV audio control not responding to long presses
Freezing, latency, or delay of button presses to receiver
A brief delay or latency of a few seconds is within normal operation. Do not continually re-pair, reprogram, or program multiple remotes to the same receiver. This can increase the delay or stop the receiver from reading commands.
