Travel Day Pass for Cox Mobile


The Cox Mobile Travel Day Pass allows your line of service access to data, voice, and messaging services when traveling internationally.

  • We recommend Contacting Us to add Travel Day Pass before your first day of international travel.
  • Travel Day Pass is required when traveling outside the United States.
  • When Travel Day Pass is added, it is valid for 24 hours.

    Note: A new session is not required when moving from one qualifying country to another within the 24-hour session.

  • International Roaming and Usage charges apply when using your phone in a United States territory, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Without Travel Day Pass, your Cox Mobile device can only connect to WiFi.

Note: Data coverage and speeds may vary by country.

Minimum Requirements

The following requirements must be met to add Travel Day Pass to your account.

  • The line must be active for 30 days.
  • Payment for a complete billing cycle must be applied in full.
  • Consent is provided to receive service-related messaging from Cox Mobile.
  • There must be no active fraud investigations on your account.
  • The line cannot have any active suspensions of service.

Usage Details

Travel Day Pass is activated for a 24-hour period when the device is first used and will have access to mobile networks while outside the U.S.  Once active, refer to the following usage guidelines.

  • 512 MB (0.5 GB) of data usage
  • Up to 60 minutes of inbound or outbound calls
  • Up to 60 outgoing SMS messages

Note: If any of the limits are reached, the service will be unavailable for the remainder of the 24-hour period. Minutes and data do not roll over.


Travel Day Pass is only available in this list of countries. For countries not included on the list, service will be unavailable on your Cox Mobile line while abroad.


When using Travel Day Pass while traveling abroad, Cox will keep you informed with the following notifications.

  • When your Cox Mobile phone is detected on an international network, a welcome SMS message will be sent to your phone.
  • Once there is usage on your line, you will receive an SMS notification informing you that Travel Day Pass is active. This message includes the end time of the 24-hour session.
  • You will receive a reminder SMS notification with the end time of your 24-hour session 12 hours into your session.
  • Once you have reached a usage limit for your 24-hour Travel Day Pass session, you will receive an SMS notification and you will not have service for the remainder of the 24-hour session. You may activate a new Travel Day Pass session after the current 24-hour session ends.


Your account will be billed for each 24-hour Travel Day Pass session you activate at a rate of $10 per session.

  • Price excludes taxes, device, and other fees and charges, which are subject to change. Other restrictions apply.
  • You will only be billed when you have activity during a Travel Day Pass session such as sending an SMS message, making or receiving a phone call, or using data on your mobile line.
  • Access to Travel Day Pass will be available until you remove the feature from your line by contacting Cox.
