After the modem is successfully connected to the network, the Power, Receive, Send, and Online indicators continuously indicate that the modem is online and fully operational.

The Reset button is recessed to prevent accidental resets and restores all settings to factory defaults. Factory resets result in the loss of all settings. To restore factory defaults, press and hold the indented Reset button with a paper clip for over 10 seconds or until the front panel LED flashes.

The Technicolor CVA4004 has the following ports.

  • CABLE COAXIAL INPUT - Connects the coax cable to the cable wall outlet.
  • ETHERNET PORT - The Ethernet port can connect to the 100/1000/2500 Ethernet ports on your computer or another device. 
  • POWER - Connects the power cord to the gateway.

MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the device's manufacturer.

Modem Light Status Problem
POWER Off No power. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
Solid None - Power is supplied to the cable modem.
INTERNET Off Modem offline. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
Blinking None. Downloading data.
On None. Operational.
