Setting Up WiFi With the Netgear C6300BD

Use the steps below to access the Netgear admin portal to set up or change WiFi network names and passwords for the Netgear C6300BD.

To access the Netgear admin portal in a web browser, go to 192.168.0.1.

Note: On some mobile devices, the web browser may require you to enter the full URL of https://192.168.0.1.

Log in to the admin portal with the following steps.

1. In the User Name field, enter admin.
2. In the Password field, enter password.
3. Click Apply.

From the Basic tab, click the Wireless icon.

From the Wireless menu, complete the following steps.

1. In the Wireless Network Name (SSID) field, enter a new network name.
2. In the Password field, enter a new password.
3. Click Apply.
   
   Note: If the device used to change the network name and password is connected to the WiFi network, then within 60 seconds of updating the network and password, it will lose the internet connection and must be reconnected. Additionally, all other WiFi-ready devices in the home must be connected to the new network.

To set up additional wireless networks, repeat step 4 for each network.
