Setting Up an Android Device to Send and Receive Cox Email

Solution

Use the following steps to set up an Android email client to send and receive Cox Email using IMAP settings.

From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.

Tap the Email icon.

Have you set up any email account on your Email app before?

  • If this is the first time you are setting up email on your phone, then from the Set up Email screen, tap Others.
  • If you have added any email account previously, then press the Settings gear icon, and tap the Add Account button.

From the Add new account screen, enter your full Cox Email Address and Password, then tap Manual setup.

From the Select account type pop-up, tap IMAP account.

From the Server settings window, in the Outgoing server section, complete the following steps.

  1. In the Security Type drop-down, tap to select SSL.
  2. In the Port field, enter 465.

    Note: See Email Server Settings for details.
     
  3. Tap Next.

    Result: Your inbox displays.
