Solution

To replace the batteries in your Cox Homelife guest key fob, you need a CR2032 3-volt lithium battery. A flathead screwdriver is the recommended tool to help replace the battery. Follow the steps below to properly replace your guest key fob battery.

1

Holding the key fob in one hand, carefully insert the tip of a flathead screwdriver into the casing seam.

3

Remove the circuit board and rubber button pad from the key fob casing.

Note: Remove the clear plastic strip from under your battery, as needed.

4

Insert the new CR2032 3-volt lithium battery into the battery slot, with the positive side facing away from the circuit board.

5

Replace the circuit board in the key fob casing and the rubber button pad in the key fob casing.

Important: Ensure the buttons are replaced correctly with the red panic button on the bottom, near the key ring.
