To replace the batteries in your Cox Homelife guest key fob, you need a CR2032 3-volt lithium battery. A flathead screwdriver is the recommended tool to help replace the battery. Follow the steps below to properly replace your guest key fob battery.
To replace the batteries in your Cox Homelife guest key fob, you need a CR2032 3-volt lithium battery. A flathead screwdriver is the recommended tool to help replace the battery. Follow the steps below to properly replace your guest key fob battery.
Holding the key fob in one hand, carefully insert the tip of a flathead screwdriver into the casing seam.
Push lightly and twist the screwdriver handle.
Remove the circuit board and rubber button pad from the key fob casing.
Note: Remove the clear plastic strip from under your battery, as needed.
Insert the new CR2032 3-volt lithium battery into the battery slot, with the positive side facing away from the circuit board.
Replace the circuit board in the key fob casing and the rubber button pad in the key fob casing.
Important: Ensure the buttons are replaced correctly with the red panic button on the bottom, near the key ring.
