Replacing Batteries in Glass Break Sensor

Solution

Follow the steps below to replace the battery in the Cox Homelife Glass Break Sensor.
 
Important
: After replacing the equipment battery, acknowledge any error on the touchscreen and then reboot it. Refer to Rebooting the Homelife Touchscreen.

  1. Separate the cover from the base by removing the front screw at the bottom of the sensor.
  2. Pry off the cover using your hand or a flathead screwdriver and set it aside.
  3. Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly, as recommended by the battery manufacturer.
  4. Replace with the new battery.
  5. Replace the cover by gently pushing it back onto the sensor until it clicks into place.

  1. Unfasten the base screw and press in the snap button to separate the cover from the base.
  2. Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly, as recommended by the battery manufacturer.
  3. Replace with the new battery.
  4. Replace the cover on the base and fasten with the screw.
