Registering Your Cox Account Online

Complete the following steps to register your account on Cox.com.

Complete the following steps.

1. From the Cox.com home page, click the Sign in icon.
2. From the Sign in page, click the No Account? Register Now! link.
   
   Result: The Register Your Cox account page displays.

Click one of the following icons to select how to look up your account.

• Phone number
• Email Address
• Account number

Note: If you have an existing account and do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.

What method are you using to look up your account?

• If using your phone number, then continue to the next step.
• If using your email address, then proceed to step 5.
• If using your account number, then proceed to step 6.

Complete the following steps to look up your account by phone number.

1. From the Look up your account by phone number page, in the Phone number field, enter the phone number listed on your account.
2. Click Look up account.

   If the phone number matches...	Then...
   A single service address	The Verify your phone number page displays, and a call or text message is received with a verification code at the number provided. Complete the following steps. In the Verification code field, enter the code received and then click Verify. Result: The Create your login info page displays. Proceed to step 7.
   Multiple service addresses	The Your information matches multiple addresses page displays. Complete the following steps. Click the radio button next to the correct address. Click Use this address to display the Verify your phone number page. Result: A call or text message is received with a verification code at the number provided. In the Verification code field, enter the code received and then click Verify. Result: The Create your login info page displays. Proceed to step 7.

Complete the following steps to look up your account by email address.

1. From the Look up your account by email address page, in the Email field, enter your email address.
2. Click Look up account.

   If the email address matches...	Then...
   A single service address	The Verify your email address page displays, and an email is received with a verification code at the email address provided. Complete the following steps. In the Verification code field, enter the code received and then click Verify to display the Create your login info page. Proceed to step 7.
   Multiple service addresses	The Your information matched multiple addresses page displays. Complete the following steps. Click the radio button next to the correct address. Click Use this address to display the Verify your email address page. Result: An email is sent with a verification code to the email address provided. In the Verification code field, enter the code received and then click Verify. Result: The Create your login info page displays. Proceed to step 7.

Complete the following steps to look up your account by account number.

1. From the Look up your account by account number page, in the Account number field, enter your Cox account number.
2. In the Cox PIN or last 4 digits of SSN field, enter your Cox PIN or the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
   
   Note: Your account number and Cox PIN are located in the top right corner of your bill and in the email received when you set up your account.
   
   
3. Click Look up account.

   If the account number matches...	Then...
   A single service address	The Create your login info page page displays. Continue to the next step.
   Multiple service addresses	The Your information matches multiple addresses page displays. Complete the following steps. Click the radio button next to the correct address. Click Use this address to display the Create your login info page. Continue to the next step.

Complete the following steps to create your account login information.

1. In the Username field, enter the user ID you would like to use.
2. In the Password field, enter a password.

3. In the Email address field, enter your email address.
4. Click the Select a security question dropdown menu and select a verification question.
5. In the Secret Answer field, enter the appropriate answer the security question you selected.
6. Under Turn on enhanced security, click the Multifactor authentication toggle to enable additional account verification.
7. Click Complete registration.

Result: A confirmation message displays, indicating an email has been sent to the email address provided with instructions on how to complete your account registration.

Follow the instructions provided in the confirmation email to verify your email address.

Result: A confirmation message displays when complete, indicating your email address has been verified. To access your account information, click Log in to My Account.
