Swapping a Panoramic Wifi Gateway with Pods

Solution


When swapping a Panoramic Wifi gateway, it's important to remove all Pods from the Cox Wifi app before swapping the Panoramic Wifi gateway. Once the new gateway is installed, you can reinstall the Pods via the Cox Wifi app.

On your mobile device, tap to open the Cox Wifi app.

From the Cox Wifi Overview screen, on the bottom toolbar, tap the WiFi icon.

From the WiFi screen, tap View WiFi equipment.

From the WiFi equipment screen, tap Pod.

From the Pod screen, tap Device details.

From the Device details screen, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Remove Pod.

From the Are you sure? screen, tap Yes, remove.

Do you have more Pods to reinstall?

  • If yes, then repeat steps 4 though 7 for each Pod.
  • If no, then continue to the next step.

After all pods have been removed from the Cox Wifi app, disconnect the old gateway and connect the new one.

Configure the WiFi. See Using a Single WiFi Network Name and Password for more information.

After the new gateway has been successfully installed, add the pods back through the Cox Wifi app. See Setting Up Panoramic Wifi Pods for more information.

It might take up to 72 hours for the system to optimize.
