Operating Systems and Software Compatibility Policy

Solution

For the best possible experience using Cox products and services, and when obtaining support from Cox and manufacturers, it is recommended that you use the latest versions of your computer and other device operating systems and software available. Using older versions can prevent you from being able to use all the features of Cox products and services.

Cox does not provide step-by-step instructions for third-party software, such as email clients, web browsers, or operating systems. For full support, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your product. See Manufacturer Resources below for more information.

Compatible Operating Systems and Software

When new and updated versions of operating systems and software become available, Cox conducts an evaluation to ensure compatibility with our products and services. As new versions are released, the manufacturers can discontinue either full or limited support of older versions. Cox references the manufacturers’ support guidelines when determining compatibility with our products and services.

Operating Systems and Internet Browsers

Most operating systems and Internet browsers available on computers and other devices are compatible with Cox products and services. For the best possible experience, ensure that your operating system and Internet browser are updated and supported by the manufacturer.

Email Clients

Most third-party email clients available on computers and other devices can be configured to send and receive Cox Email. To help you get the most out of your Cox Email, Cox provides the settings and server names in Email Server Settings. For help configuring email clients on your mobile devices and computers, please contact the manufacturer.
