The Netgear WNR2000 has the following ports available on the back of the router.

  • Power - Connects the router to the power adapter
  • Power (On/Off) - Button to turn the router on or off
  • Internet - Connects the router to the cable modem
  • Ethernet (1-4) - Connects to the Ethernet port on your computer(s)
  • Reset - Used to reset the router
     

Troubleshooting

The lights indicate the current status of your gateway. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Router Light Status Problem
Power Solid Green None. The router is powered on.
Flashing Green The router firmware is corrupted.
Flashing Amber The router has a problem.
Off No power
Internet Solid Green None. There is a connection made through the Internet port.
Flashing Green None. There is network activity over the Internet port.
Solid Amber No IP address has been acquired.
Off No devices are connected.
Wireless Solid Blue None. Wireless feature is enabled.
Flashing Blue None. The router is actively sending or receiving data over the network.
Off None. Wireless feature is turned off.
LAN 1-4 Solid Green None. The router is successfully connected to a device through that port and communicating at 100 Mbps.
Solid Amber None. The router is successfully connected to a device through that port and communicating at 10 Mbps.
Off No Ethernet found.
Push 'N' Connect (WPS) Solid Green None. Push 'N' Connect security is enabled.
Off Push 'N' Connect security is not enabled.
