MAC Address Click to enlarge.		MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.

The lights indicate the current status of your cable modem. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Power	Solid Green	None.
Power	Off	No power. Verify power supply connections and electrical outlet. Also make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch.
Upstream	Solid green	None. One or more upstream channels are in use.
	Blinking green	None. Scanning for an upstream channel.
	Off	No upstream channel is in use.
Downstream	Solid green	None. One or more downstream channels are in use.
	Blinking green	None. Scanning for a downstream channel.
	Off	No downstream channel is in use.
Internet	Solid Green	None.
	Blinking Green	None. Scanning for configuration parameters - Verify power supply connections and electrical outlet. Also make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch.
	Off	Cable modem is offline. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
Ethernet	Green	A device is connected to the Ethernet port and powered on.
Ethernet	Off	No device is connected to the Ethernet port.
