Netflix Subscription Access Error

Solution

Review the following to determine if a subscription issue may be causing an access error.
 
Playback Interrupted: Netflix programs that are interrupted by a connectivity or power failure may cause an error message. Error messages may take up to two hours to clear.
 

Use the following information, if you are unable to access Netflix content from your Contour 2 receiver.

  1. Confirm you can access Netflix from a different device.
  2. Did you receive one of the following on screen messages?
    • Your Netflix account is in use on another device.
    • Too many people are using your account right now.
    • Sorry, too many people are using your account right now.
    • Your Netflix account is in use on too many devices.
       
      Result: Your Netflix account has reached the limit of active streams allowed.
       
  3. Review the different Netflix subscription options to determine your subscription level.
     
    Subscription OptionsSubscription Details
    Basic Plan
    • Allows you to access movies and shows from one devices.
       
      Note: This plan does not allow you to sign in on multiple devices at one time.
       
    • Movies and Shows are streamed in Standard Definition, regardless of your Cox service level.
    Standard Plan
    • Allows you to access movies and shows on up to two devices at the same time.
    • Movies and shows are streamed in High Definition when available.
    Premium Plan
    • Allows you to access movies and shows on up to 4 devices at the same time.
    • Movies and shows are streamed in High Definition, when available.
       
      Note: Contour 2 does not support any 4K content, and will not stream any 4K content, regardless of Netflix streaming plan.
     
  4. Adjust your subscription plan if you continue to exceed your Netflix streaming limits. For more information, refer to the Netflix Help Center.
