Navigating Your Cox Mobile Voicemail

Solution


If you have not set up your voicemail PIN, refer to Setting Up Your Cox Mobile Voicemail. To change your PIN, refer to Personal Options below.

To access your voicemail, press *86 then use the following information to navigate your voicemail options.

Main Menu

The following functions are available from the Main Menu. Tap * to access or return to the Main Menu.

Main Menu
  • Tap one of the following options to manage your voicemail.
  • 1 to Listen to a message.
  • 2 for Send options.
  • 4 for Personal Options.
  • * to disconnect.

Listening to Your Messages

From the Main Menu, tap 1 to listen to your messages. The below functions are available during and after message playback.

During a message

Tap an option to perform additional functions during a message.

  • 1 to Rewind 
  • 2 to Pause 
  • 3 to Forward 
  • 44 to slow the playback 
  • 5 for Date and Time details 
  • 66 to increase the speed of the playback 
  • 7 to Erase the message 
  • 8 to Replay the message 
  • 9 to Save the message 
  • * to Cancel 
  • 0 for Help 
  • # to Skip the message
After a message

Tap an option to perform additional functions after a message is played.

  •  7 to Erase 
  •  9 to Save 
  •  0 for Other Options 
    •  4 to Replay
    •  5 for the Envelope


Sending Your Message

From the Main Menu, tap 2 for the available sending or forwarding options. The below functions are available during and after message playback.

Select Destination

Enter the designation voice mailbox number or distribution list number and then press #.

Record

Record a message and then press # for the following options.

  • # to Send
  • 5 to Review Message
  • 0 Delivery Options
    • 1 for Private
    • 2 for Urgent
    • 3 for Confirmation
    • 4 for Future Delivery
    • 5 for Recorded 
    • * to Cancel Delivery

Personal Options

From the Main Menu, tap 4 to listen to access your Personal Options. The below functions are available during and after message playback.

Administrative Options

Tap 2 for the following Administrative options.

  • 1 for General Options
    • 1 to Change PIN
    • 5 for Language
    • 6 for Autoplay On or Off
    • 7 for Call Back Number prompts
    • 8 for Prompt Levels
      • 1 to Set std/ Rapid Prompts
      • 2 to Turn Caller Prompts On or Off
  • 4 for Message Review options
    • 1 to change the order of messages
    • 2 for envelope information
    • 3 to change envelope options
Greetings

Tap 3 for the following Greeting options.

  • 1 for Personal greeting
  • 2 for Extended absence
  • 3 to Add recorded name
  • * to exit
Pager Notification Settings

Tap 4 for Pager notification settings.

  • 1 for type
  • 2 for schedule
