Front View Click to enlarge.		After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the Power and Online indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the modem is online and fully operational. This may take up to 15 minutes.

Back View Click to enlarge.		The Motorola MG7540 has the following ports available on the back of the modem. Ethernet - Provides internet access to a single device. Only one port is active at a time. WLAN / WPS - This is the WiFi on / off button. Reset - Use this button in the unlikely event that you want to restore the default factory settings. This button is recessed to prevent accidental resets of your modem. Coax - Connect your coaxial cable line to this port. On / off button - Use this button to turn the modem on or off. Power - Connect the supplied power cord between the power jack and an electrical outlet.

MAC Address Click to enlarge.		MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the device's manufacturer.

The lights indicate the current status of your modem. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Power	Solid	None. The device is powered on.
Downstream	Flashing Green	Scanning for DS channel.
	Solid Green	Connected to one downstream channel.
	Flashing Blue	Negotiating bonded channel(s).
	Solid Blue	Bonded with two or more channels.
Upstream	Flashing Green	Ranging in process.
	Solid Green	Connected on one downstream channel.
	Flashing Blue	Negotiating bonded channel(s).
	Solid Blue	Bonded with two or more channels.
	Off	Upstream is not connected.
Online	Flashing Green	Trying to connect online.
	Solid Green	Online.
	Off	Offline.
2.4 GHz WLAN	Flashing Green	Data is flowing.
	Solid Green	WiFi is enabled.
	Off	WiFi is not enabled.
5 GHz WLAN	Flashing Green	Data is flowing.
	Solid Green	WiFi is enabled.
	Off	WiFi is not enabled.
WPS	Flashing Green	WPS is in discovery mode.
WPS	Solid Green	Light will remain solid when the WPS configuration is successful.
