Managing Your Cox Mobile Device Software Updates

Use the following information to locate and update the device software.

Locating the Device Software Information

Use the following steps to locate what software is currently installed on your device.

From the Home screen, complete the following.

1. Swipe up to access your apps.
2. Tap to open your Settings apps.
   
   

From the Settings menu, tap About phone.
 

Tap Software information to view the current version installed on your device.

Performing a Software Update

Use the following information to perform a software update on your device.

• Software updates ensure your device has the latest available features and that it continues to operate correctly.
• These updates cannot be reversed. Backing up your device before you update your software can prevent your device from losing personal data and app information.
• Always make sure the battery is charged before starting a software update.

From the Home screen, complete the following.

1. Swipe up to access your apps.
2. Tap to open your Settings apps.
   
   

From the Settings menu, scroll and tap Software Update.
 

Did a Software update available window display?

• If yes, then follow the on-screen instructions to allow your device to perform the system update. 
• If no, then tap Download and Install to enable your device to search for any system updates.
  
  Result: The system performs the update if one is available.
  
  

Note: To automatically update your device once available, tap the Auto download over Wi-Fi on.
