After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the Power, Receive, Send, and Status indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational.

The modem includes the following connection ports:

  • POWER - Connects to the power adapter
  • ETH - Connects devices to the 10/100/1000 RJ45 Ethernet port
  • CABLE - Connects to a coaxial cable

The information below is usually found on a sticker located on the bottom of the modem.

  • The S/N is the serial number of the Linksys CM3024.
  • The CM MAC is the MAC address of the Linksys CM3024.

Troubleshooting

The lights indicate the current status of your device. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

OffNo upstream channels are in use. - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.

OffThe modem is Offline. - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
EthernetOnA device is connected to the Ethernet port.
BlinkingData is being transferred over the Ethernet connection.
OffNo device is connected or the device is disabled. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
