Use the following information to import, export, and share contacts using Cox Email.
- Import contacts from another email provider to your Cox Email using a vCard or CSV file.
- Export contacts if you wish to back up your contacts to your personal device or share your contacts with someone else.
- Create a sharing link for a folder in the Contacts tab, then copy and paste the link into email, instant messenger, or a social network.
Importing Contacts
- Select the Contacts folder that you want to import, then click the Actions for Contacts icon that resembles three dots.
- From the drop-down menu, click Import.
- From Import from file window, click the Format drop-down list and then select CSV or vCard.
- Click Upload file.
- Locate the file you want to import on your device, then click Open.
Note: When using the CSV file format, make sure that the email addresses column is spelled E-mail address to prevent errors. - Click Import.
Exporting Contacts
- Select the Contacts folder that you want to export, then click the Actions for Contacts icon that resembles three dots
- From the drop-down menu, click Export.
- From the Export folder window, click the Format drop-down list and then select a file format.
- Click Export.
Sharing Contacts
- Click the Contacts folder that you want to share, then click the Actions for Contacts icon that resembles three dots.
- From the drop-down menu, click Share / Permissions.
- From the Permissions for folder "Contacts" window, select the people that can access the folder.
- Click Details, from the drop-down menu select the applicable permissions.
