After the cable modem is connected, the POWER, DS, US, ONLINE, and LAN lights continuously indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational.

The following buttons and ports are available on the back of the modem.

  • ETHERNET: Use Ethernet ports to connect local PC or other Ethernet capable devices.
  • CABLE: Coaxial cable connector.
  • RESET: Use a paper clip or other small object with a narrow tip into the Reset opening. Press and hold the reset button until the front panel LED flashes, longer than 10 seconds to return to the factory settings.
  • POWER: Connect the DC power adapter to an electrical outlet.

MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F).
  • A MAC address is unique.
  • The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the device's manufacturer.
  • This information is found on a sticker at the bottom of the modem.

Troubleshooting

The lights on the front indicate the working status. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

  • The downstream signal channel is locked.
  • The downstream scanning is in progress.
Green BlinkingThe software update (over-the-air) is in progress.
OffNo downstream channel is locked. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
USGreen On
  • The upstream signal channel is locked.
  • The upstream scanning is in progress.
Green BlinkingThe software update (over-the-air) is in progress.
OffThe upstream channel is locked. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
ONLINEGreen OnThe cable modem is online.
Green BlinkingThe cable modem is offline. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem.
LANGreen OnNetwork device is connected to the LAN ports.
Green BlinkingData is being transmitted through the LAN ports.
OffNo device is connected to the LAN port. Verify all device connections.
