Extending Your Payment Date Online

Solution

Use the following information to extend and commit to a future payment date.

  • A transaction is not completed on the scheduled date until you return to add a method of payment.
  • The payment must be made by 5:00 pm on the scheduled day to avoid a service interruption.

Note: If you have Cox Mobile, then you are not eligible for future payment dates.

Access your My Account profile and select Billing.

From the Payment & billing options window, click Other payment options.

In the Payment options window, from the Request additional time to pay section, click Extend payment date.

Note: If this option is greyed out, you are not eligible to schedule a future payment. Choose another payment option or contact us.

Complete the following steps.

  1. On the Request additional time to pay window, select the payment date.

  2. From Payment amount, select the amount you want to pay or enter a different amount.

    Note: The entered payment amount cannot be lower than the amount due. 

  3. Click Confirm extension.

    : The Review details and submit details displayed.

Review the Terms of Service and complete the following.

  1. Click to agree to the Terms of Service.

    Important: You must make your payment by 5 pm on the payment extension date to avoid a service interruption. Click the back button in your web browser to make changes to your payment date/amount. All changes are final once you click Submit.

  2. Click Submit.
     
    Result
    : The payment extension is now scheduled.
