Adding two-step verification to your account provides you with additional security by requiring more than one category of methods in the verification process.
Complete the steps below to add two-step verification to your My Account profile.
From the Cox.com homepage, click Sign In My Account.
Enter your User ID and Password.
Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.
From the My Account page, click the arrow on the Account section.
From the My Profile page, under Password & Security, click Two-step verification.
From the Two-step verification window, click Turn on.
Result: The Status: In Progress window displays.
From the Finish two-step enrollment window, you must sign in again to make your verification methods. Complete the following steps.
From the Set up two-step verification window, select one or more verification methods from the following choices and click Set up.
Complete the steps outlined in the table below to enter the information for your verification method.

Note: The one-time passcode expires after five minutes.
Result: After clicking Finish, the Two-step verification window displays Status: ON and your verification methods are listed.
