Email Me When a Voice Mail Arrives

Solution

Complete the following steps to get an email sent to your email address with the voice message attached.

Go to Voice Tools at voicetools.cox.com.

Enter your User ID and Password.

Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password
Click Sign In.

From the Voice Tool page, complete the following steps.

Click Settings to expand the menu.
Ensure that Voice Mail is turned On.
Click Voice Mail to expand the Voice Mail settings menu
Ensure the following are turned On.
- Readable Voice Mail
- Voice Mail Notification

Click Voice Mail Notification to expand the settings menu.

Use the following table to manage the preferred destination email address.

If...	Then...
Adding a new email address	Click Add. Enter the new Email Address. Note: You can add up to five email addresses.
Updating an existing email address	Click into the specific email address field that you would like to update and enter the updated email address.

From the Choose Notification Method drop-down menu, select one of the following options, then click Save.

If you select...	The voice mail message is...
Audio	Attached to the email in .wav format. To listen to the voice mail, click the .wav file to launch the audio player on your computer.
Transcript	Transcribed into readable text sent via email.
Both	Attached to the email in a .wav format audio message and transcribed into readable text in the body of the email.
