Use these steps to disable call waiting with your telephone.
Note: You are also able to manage call waiting features from Voice Tools. See Disabling Call Waiting for Cox Voice Customers and About Voice Tools for more information.
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Select from the following based on your locations.
- If you are located in the following markets use *380.
- Baton Rouge
- Macon
- Gainesville
- Pensacola
- Roanoke
- All other markets use *38.
- If you are located in the following markets use *380.
- Listen for three confirmation tones.
Result: Call Waiting is now disabled. Your calls will not be interrupted by the Call Waiting tone. New callers will hear a busy signal until you turn on Call Waiting. If your Internet and Telephone Modem is rebooted, then call waiting will be enabled again.
