Deleting all User Codes From the Cox Homelife Door Locks

Solution

If all user codes are deleted, then the automatic lock option is disabled.

Follow the steps below to delete all of the user codes from your Homelife door lock.

Notes:

  • To confirm that all user codes have been deleted, while the door is open, press the lock button. If the latch bolt does not extend to lock, then all codes have been successfully deleted.
  • The hex key is size 3/32. A replacement key can be purchased at most hardware stores.

To remove the interior cover of the door lock, complete the following steps.

  1. Using the hex key provided, remove the three screws that hold the interior cover in place.

  2. Remove the interior cover.

Press the Program button and the keypad flashes green.

During the programming, if a button isn't pressed within five seconds, the system will time out. There will be three beeps and the keypad will flash red. If the system times out, it will be necessary to restart the process.

Press the lock button.

Press 9 six times.
