Deleting a Cox Email Address


Cox continues to support existing customers with Cox Email; however, we no longer offer the ability for new and existing Cox Internet customers to create new Cox Email accounts.

Refer to the following steps to delete a Cox Email account.

After a Cox Email account is deleted, it cannot be restored or reactivated.


From the Cox.com homepage, click Sign In My Account.


Enter your primary User ID and Password.

Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.


Click the Customers drop-down menu, then click My Account, then click Profile.


Under User Accounts, click Manage Users.

Locate the User ID with the email account you are deleting.

  1. Click Delete email.

    Result: A pop-up window displays with a message that once the email account is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

  2. Click Delete Email Account.

    Result: A green confirmation message displays. Your Cox Email address is no longer accessible to send or receive email. If you wish to restore your Cox Email address, then contact us within the next 90 days. After 90 days, your Cox Email address is permanently deleted and cannot be restored or reactivated.
