Cox began implementing Data Usage Billing in 2015. Since then, Cox has expanded Data Usage Billing to include the following service areas.
In all other markets, Cox does not currently charge additional fees if your data plan is exceeded.
There will be no change to the speed or quality of your Internet service if you exceed your data plan.
Data usage is updated nightly and the Data Usage Meter reflects usage through the previous day. Occasionally, it may take longer to update your data usage on the meter.
Your data plan is based on a monthly usage cycle, and aligns closely to the start and end dates of your bill cycle. Usage cycle dates specific to your account are displayed on your Data Usage Meter.
In the service areas where Data Usage Billing has been implemented, Cox offers additional data plans options, including an Unlimited data plan, if you need more than the 1 TB per month included in most Internet packages.
