We want you to have the best email experience, so we’re transitioning your email service and associated support to Yahoo Mail.
This only impacts your cox.net email address. None of your other Cox services will be impacted.
We know your cox.net email address is important to you. We selected Yahoo Mail to continue your service because they’re a trusted provider. They’ll continue to offer the advanced support and enhanced protection for your email account that you've had at Cox. We’re working with Yahoo to provide a seamless transition for our cox.net email customers. Be sure to review Yahoo’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which will govern your email account after the move.
You’ll need to enter your cox.net email address, including @cox.net, and your existing password. If you have forgotten your password, before completing the move, go to Cox email login and click Forgot Password.
If you choose not to transition and do not accept Yahoo’s Terms of Service or Privacy Policy and would like to retain your content, you will need to move your data to another service provider or download the desired material before your transition date. There are free and paid software options available to help you archive your email content. See Transferring Cox Email Content to Another Email Provider.
After your email has transitioned you will not be able to send or receive email until you log into Yahoo Mail and accept the Terms of Service and the Yahoo Privacy Policy.
The offer to accept Yahoo’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will be available for 365 days from the date of your transition notification email or redirect. Yahoo also reserves the right to permanently deactivate accounts for extended inactivity. For more information, see Reasons Yahoo deactivates or deletes an account.
Note: Email data will be encrypted through the transition to Yahoo and will only be released after acceptance of Yahoo's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
