Connecting a Device to Your In-Home WiFi Network

Most WiFi-enabled computers and devices can connect to your In-Home WiFi network. To get the most out of your In-Home WiFi and to save on Cox Mobile data usage, Cox provides the following steps to help you connect your device.

Android
  1. Tap the Settings icon.
  2. Tap Wireless & networks or Wi-Fi.
  3. If turned off, tap Wi-Fi to turn it on.
     
    Note: Settings and menu options may vary between manufacturers and Android versions. Refer to your device owner’s manual for specific steps.
  1. Tap Scan to search for available networks.
  2. Tap your network name from the list of available SSIDs.
  3. Enter the network password.
  4. Tap Connect.
Apple iOS
  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. If Wi-Fi is set to OFF, tap the slider button to turn it on.
  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap your network name from the list of available SSIDs.
  4. Enter the network password.
  5. Tap Join.
Kindle Fire1. Tap Quick Settings or Wireless.
2. Tap Wi-Fi.
3. If Wi-Fi is set to OFF, tap ON to turn it on.

  1. In the menu bar, click the Wi-Fi icon.
  2. Click Turn Wi-Fi on.

  1. From the App list, tap Settings.
  2. Click Network & Internet.
  3. Click Wi-Fi.
  4. Make sure Wi-Fi networking is set to On.

  4. Click Next.
